Voicing
Particular way of arranging the notes of a chord.
A voicing is a particular way of arranging the notes of a chord — order, octaves, omissions. The same chord can be played in dozens of different voicings, each with its own character. Voicing affects sonic colour (thick or clear, bright or round), the ease of transition to the next chord, and the movement of the bass and treble notes between chords. Caring for your voicings is what distinguishes a mature guitarist from a technically competent beginner.
