Solfege chord naming
Note naming with Do, Re, Mi — the Latin system.
Solfege chord naming labels notes with their solfege names: Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si. It is the traditional notation used in France, Italy and several Latin-speaking countries. 'Accord de Sol majeur' is the solfege equivalent of 'G chord' in English notation. Most modern guitarists know both notations and switch from one to the other depending on context (formal lesson vs internet tab).
